Definition: Number and percent of Boone County and Missouri residents age 65 and over hospitalized for diabetes or heart conditions.
Rationale: The statistic meets most of Boone County Indicators criteria and provides a trend measurement of older persons in the county and state who have been hospitalized and/or who visited an emergency room for diabetes or a heart condition.
