Data Source: ACS - The American Community Survey (ACS) is an ESTIMATE of each indicator, which means there is a margin of error. Future versions of the dashboard will display margins of error. For now, exercise caution with 1-year estimates for Boone County, the City of Columbia and the Columbia School District. The 5-year estimates (for example 2012-2016) are much more reliable.

An adjusted figure is available which excludes households with missing values.

Bolded values indicate margins of error, hover over them to view in detail.

For now, exercise caution with 1-year estimates for Boone County, the City of Columbia and the Columbia School District. The 5-year estimates (for example 2012-2016) are much more reliable.

Households Spending Over 30% Income on Housing (Non-Adjusted)

This indicator includes housing cost burden for total households, as well as specific numbers for those that rent or own. Households that own include those with and without mortgages. The total household figure (denominator) includes all households, including those for which the housing cost burden is unknown. An adjusted figure is available which excludes households with missing values.

Bolded values indicate margins of error, hover over them to view in detail.

Homelessness

The Missouri Balance of State (BoS) CoC conducts a Point-in-Time Count throughout its 101 county geographic area each year as required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The count helps Missourians monitor trends in the homeless population and increases public awareness of homelessness.
